Clarinbridge GAA and Camogie Club have embarked on a new initiative whereby some of the coaches in the both clubs are visiting Killeeneen and Clarinbridge NS to provide some coaching instruction to the children in Junior and Senior Infants and 1st Class. The initiative has been endorsed by the club executive and is very well received in schools.

The coaches go  to the schools on a Tuesday morning for three hours and teach the children the basic skills of the game.

The initial programme will run until the end of April and it is hoped that follow up programes will also happen and perhaps be extended to other National Schools in the parish.

Club History

Clarinbridge was involved from the very beginning of the G.A.A. in Galway. Fr. Lee in this book "The Annals of G.A.A. in Galway" describes how over 7,000 people gathered in Clarinbridge to watch a match between Clarinbridge and Labane in 1885.
