Clarinbridge GAA is devastated to learn of the passing of Emily McVeigh (née Burke).
Emily was an exceptional person whose kindness, spirit and love for her community touched every corner of our club. While her playing days were with the Camogie Club, Emily and her family have always been deeply rooted in the wider Clarinbridge GAA community. She was a loyal supporter, a constant friendly face and someone who always put others first.
The Burke family has contributed enormously to our club over the years, with her brothers Shane and Brian involved across various teams and roles. That connection continued through her own family — her husband Sean and their children Lucy, Jamie and Grace, all of whom are much-loved members of our GAA family.
The sense of loss across the parish today is a reflection of the impact Emily made on so many. Her warmth, positivity and generosity will never be forgotten.
On behalf of the entire club, we offer our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Sean, Lucy, Jamie and Grace; to Agnes and John; to Fiona, Aoife, Shane and Brian; and to the extended Burke and McVeigh families. We grieve alongside you and we stand with you now and in the time ahead.
