This week its one of our defenders Alan Armstrong who shares with us his thoughts on hurling and some other topics! Thanks Alan for taking the time.

Why do you love playing hurling?
It’s the best game in the world and you make friends for life playing it. Nothing beats playing in games representing your family, friends and club. I’m also not much good at other sports!
Who is your favourite hurler and why?
Probably Brendan Maher (Tipperary). I’m a fan of a player that’s adaptable and can play a few positions. He once scored a point with half a hurl which was ridiculous (YouTube for anyone that hasn’t seen it!)
Best advice you ever got from a coach?
“The ball can pass, the man can pass but both shouldn’t pass together”
Away from hurling what’s your favourite way to relax?
I like to park on the couch with mug of tea and throw on a bit of TV. Our house is sports mad so more often than not there is sport on 24/7. I like the odd cycle and doing a few Small Jobs around the house. I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Three items you always have in your fridge?
Milk, butter and burgers
Favourite place?
Kenny Park on a packed championship game day!
