Our Juvenile boys from U6 to U12 took part in an internal league this month to raise awareness and funds for the Brothers of Charity Sri Lanka Charity. The charity has two centres in Sri Lanka offering residential and educational services for children with special needs and we are delighted to partner with them to help raise awareness and support the great work they do.

Over €4,500 euros was raised by our young hurlers over the last month - what a marvellous achievement! Well done and a big thank you to all the boys who fund raised and took part in the league. We were delighted that Brother Alfred Hassett and Ciaran McGrath from the Brothers of Charity could join us today and accept the funds for the charity.

Today was League Final Day and the end of the Juvenile Hurling season for 2021. All the boys were treated to pizza and a selection box for their super efforts throughout the year. Our youngest hurlers (U6 group) also received a fabulous trophy each for their super commitment and participation over the last number of months.

Special thanks to our League sponsors Mike Kerrigan - Centra Kilcolgan, Declan Lally Windows and Rooflights Ltd, Alan Kerins and Paul and PJ Coen who generously supported the event today.

Big thanks to our wonderful coaches who helped to make it a successful event and made sure everything ran smoothly every Sunday, our parent volunteers who managed teams and our Juvenile Committee for organising the league. It was a wonderful way to end the season.
