Cardiac Screening available at Clarinbridge GAA clubhouse in association with AMS (Advanced Medical Services). What is the Cardiac Screening Programme? The Cardiac Screening Programme allows for the detection of underlying conditions that may lead to or cause Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS). Having a cardiac screen can help identify many cardiac abnormalities and in turn save lives.
- When will the screening take place? The comprehensive screening will take place in the Clarinbridge GAA clubhouse on Saturday, September 9th from 9.30 - 5pm.
- Who can attend? The screening is available for anyone in the community from age 12+. 79 euro per person. FREE with LAYA health insurance,possible to claim back a percentage with other health insurers.

Why undergo a Cardiac Screening?
-Cardiac Screening helps to prevent Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS). Up to 100 young people die each year in Ireland from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS)
-1 in 300 people may have a cardiac abnormality
-The national register recently reported that the incidents of SADS are higher in Ireland than many other European countries.
